Vuk Drašković has in-depth legal expertise in corporate, commercial and employment law. His primary focus is on M&A, corporate and commercial law, employment law, regulatory, as well as on certain specific areas such as healthcare and pharmaceuticals and banking sector. As the team leader, Vuk advised the clients in some of the biggest M&A transactions in Serbia and the region. Prior to the establishment of Drašković Popović & Partners, he was a partner at one of the leading law firms in Serbia. Vuk is ranked within “The Legal 500 EMEA”, “Chambers & Partners Europe and Global guides”, and “IFLR1000” report within his areas of expertise. Vuk received the highest recognition on the market within the “Hall of Fame” category in “The Legal 500 EMEA” report.
Education
Vuk earned his LL.B. from the University of Belgrade, from the Faculty of Law, where he graduated among the best in his class. While at university, he was recognized many times for his exceptional achievements (one of the top ten students of law in Serbia, annual awards of the Faculty of Law, etc.). Further, Vuk earned his LL.M. from the prestigious British university “University of Law”, where he graduated with the highest mark (Distinction). His final LL.M. dissertation was dedicated to the relationship between English law as the governing law in foreign international M&A transactions and other relevant laws.
Memberships
Vuk is a member of the Serbian Bar Association for more than 10 years. He is a member of the International Bar Association as well. Vuk is one of the leaders of the regional legal network SELA (South East Legal Alliance), and he actively participated in forming this network back in 2016. Starting from the initial phase and first steps in establishing the organization, SELA has come a long way and now represents one of the top regional legal networks, thanks to, among others, Vuk and his efforts. He is now an active member of SELA team which gathers the member’s managements. Vuk frequently participates in various activities of the Foreign Investors Council where he participates in drafting the relevant sections of the White Book of the Foreign Investors Council, the most prominent annual analysis of the legal framework in Serbia.
